Vegetables taste better roasted
Give us a vegetable and we will roast to perfection! Roasting your veggies turns mundane greens into sweet flavorful treats! After a long day at work this is easy to prepare and even simpler to eat. We roast everything from carrots, to brussel sprouts to broccoli. here is a basic recipe for our roasted broccoli.
- 4 cups of fresh or frozen chopped broccoli florets
- 2 tbsp canola/olive oil
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp garlic powder
- 2 tbsp onion powder
- salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 325 F. Throw the broccoli in a ziploc bag and coat with the oil. Add the remaining ingredients and shake the bag until the broccoli is well coated. Distribute the seasoned broccoli on a prepared pan, avoiding any overlap. Roast for 30 minutes, or until the florets are browned. Serve fresh.
Makes 2 large meal-sized servings, or 4 side servings
