Mango Pineapple Sorbet

Mango Pineapple Sorbet

The fruit and vegetable kingdom are full of treats to feed your sweet tooth.  We see a lot of posts on instagram and on vegan and vegetarian social media about "nana ice cream".  This recipe would fall into the "nana ice cream" recipe category, but for some reason we just don't like that term.  No particular reason. Some folks don't like okra - we don't like that phrase.  Anyway, we've decided to call this sorbet. If there are sorbet purists out there that disagree, our apologies. At least we'll all agree that it is easy and delicious.

Mango Pineapple Sorbet

  • 1 cup fresh mango
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple
  • 1 ripe banana

Cut the mango and pineapple into bite sized cubes and freeze for at least 2 hours.  Blend the frozen mango and pineapple with the ripe banana. Feel free to add agave to taste or ice cubes for an icier consistency. Garnish with blueberries or blackberries.

 

Makes 2 large serving
