It is funny how saying a few words can start a movement.
The other day we were reflecting on 2018 and making plans for 2019. The new year rolling over always give you that motivation to get your life together. We have never been big fans of the new years resolutions game. New Years Eve can be a bit of a let down. We tend to be too ambitious and don't accomplish half of what we set out to do. Bump that. We're going to hit the year running. December challenge time. After batting a few ideas around June said "How about we do at least 30 minutes of exercise everyday for the whole month of December?". Boom. The #december30challenge was born.
Thirty minutes is short enough to fit it in everyday, but long enough to burn some real calories. The winter holiday season can be fun, but it can also be stressful. Exercise, even in small amounts, has been associated with happiness and stress relief. Who doesn’t want that? Our December schedule is usually full of holiday parties, sweet treats, sugary drinks and sedentary behavior. Why not offset it with half an hour of exercise?
Because sharing is caring, we invited our friends and followers to join in on the fun. Imagine our surprise when a bunch of people contacted us to say they wanted to enlist!
